Arizona Jack
Since coming to Southern Arizona in 1999, I have been in pursuit of this animal. As you can see... his ears are 5 inches, plus and he can always hear me coming. Hind legs are five inches, or more and he can stand over three feet to eat the leaves of the Mesquite Trees. . My most desired photo to capture and today, yea !!!... I finally got the moment. They can run up to 35 MPH and on the fifth leap... they look for predators.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago, while I had no camera with me, this wonderful Jack eating just a couple of blocks away from my home. The area was good for a photo and I could pull off the road for a quick shot. I have gone to this same place now for over two weeks and until today, no Jack. Well to my wonderful surprise, today, there were two of the beautiful animals setting and ready for my camera. I took some very good shots and hope to have one on display in the gallery that I am represented by. Never give up on that one animal that captures your heart.
