The Pineapple Track

I don't know why it's called this as there isn't a pineapple (or banana or paw-paw or avacado) plant in sight. Possibly there might be some Dracophyllum latifolium about. That is the Mountain Neinei, which is an amazingly cool-looking plant that might have been invented by Dr Seuss. Otherwise known as the Mountain Pineapple, at least by me.

But we couldn't see any, and it was much too nice a day for a walk to go off botanising in the swamps...
