Despite the fact that I didn't get any of the revision done today that I wanted to, its been quite a successful day.
Had a meeting about the process for applying for fourth year projects where he suggested we contact a supervisor we are interested in working with and sort of boast about why we should get to do their project. So as soon as I got home I emailed my Evolutionary Psych lecturer about the chimps and monkey projects. Within 5 mins he had replied saying I could see him today, so I dashed back into town again and explained that I would already be at the zoo over the summer working with the monkeys and would be learning the research techniques that I would need to use in the project anyway. I think this may have swayed it for me because he said he would be happy to be my supervisor! Although he couldn't say for deffinite because it is someone else that allocates it, he is able to send an email saying he is happy for me to have the project!! So all fingers crossed!
Also made some cakes for my academic daughter this evening, as it was her birthday a couple of days ago and I couldn't make it. TSP and I had to try a few first though, just to make sure they were ok!
