Hum?

1 day, 3 pairs of glasses.

[Honestly...there's 3...just!]

It has to be said, I never thought that safety goggles/glasses would be something I would be needing for OT placement. Nor did I think that I would be carrying about sunglasses so much in Dundee!!

Today has been non-stop!

TORT clinic - basically a wheelchair clinic with OT & wheelchair techs. Was pretty cool! Got a peek into the workshop (hence the safety goggles!) to see some of the work being done.

The clinic was at Ninewells, which was an experience in itself - I had no idea it was so big! Sat on the bus we came into one entrance of the campus, for ages we didn't seem to be reaching the bus terminus and on entering a housing estate I had to actually check with the bus driver that we were still going there, when eventually we came to another entrance and finally the terminus.

Oh...and it speaks to you. Way to confuse the already vaguely lost and confused student!

Then it was a zip back to the centre for a staff meeting (and not-so-subtle sandwich eating...) and supervision.

Finally finished up about 5.15ish, absolutely shattered and ready to crash...at which point I got locked inside the building and had to wait on a cleaner coming to find me to let me back into the clinical area so I could use the back entrance. Lesson firmly learnt - back door.

Then decided to be a little bit adventurous and attempt to find the road where I was fairly certain I could meet my bus mid-route. Which went a little wrong as I didn't have enough patience with the long, straight road, my head beat my gut and I decided to correct myself when I wasn't really wrong at all...hence missing the one bus. Finally got in about 6.45pm. Lesson #2 - when it comes to buses at the end of a long day - stick to what I know...or just trust my gut a little!

Anyhoo...

Tomorrow I'm spending the day with one of the physio's. Trouble is we're meeting at 8.45am and I've to get 2 buses which, due to awkward timetables, is going to mean leaving the house by 6.50am.

Guess who's thankful for a certain wedding on Friday? :]
