Campaigning

I fully intend to use my vote, as I always do. But I always wonder why each party feels the need to spend time and money attaching these to EVERY SINGLE LAMPPOST in town. Do they think it's a competition? Do they think we'll only vote for the party that (temporarily) defaces the most public property? Do they think ... ?
