Jets and boats and crashing waves

Dear Heart,
The 25th of April, Papa's birthday, is the annual Davies pilgrimage to the tip of Worm's Head. It is always terribly windy, and indescribably beautiful on this day, as if by some royal decree.
We returned with souvenir scrapes and bruises, and some lovely snaps. The sea looked so majestic, beautiful and threatening at the same time. A picturesque paradox. I collected flowers in my knotted hair on the return journey, pretending I was a pilgrim trekking to my new world, a new home. In reality, we arrived at home and ate Chinese food, which is probably just as nice.
Love, Lydia x
