The Invisible Man meets Rowan

Rowan found a glove when we took him for a walk along the River Kent at lunchtime. He was having great fun tossing it up in the air, catching it and exuberantly haring about the field with it.

There were several families of mallard ducklings on the river, but the largest brood was 6, so I fear the 11 ducklings I saw last week have had quite a few casualties.

A common sandpiper on the river was 125th bird on the list for 2011.
