It's baby season!

This tiny baby is the newest patient at the Wild Bird Hospital where I volunteer. He is so tiny we don't even know what species he is, we are thinking maybe a sparrow or at least something sparrow sized but only time will tell. He is so young that when he arrived he was still stuck to a small piece of his shell. He is feeding well, taking tiny amounts of food from a cocktail stick. Of course his chances are slim but the hospital has successfully raised chicks this young before so cross everything for the little mite and...everybody say Awwwwww!
