Security

Two police constables called this morning to warn me that a quad bike had been stolen from a farm fairly near us. I don't have a quad bike but I do have other garden machinery, hence the old padlock on my shed.
The embarrassing thing was that I hadn't tidied away my kit from our weekend at our historical interpretation group and lying on the table was a 3ft sword and a large, sharp dagger. They were most interested! I explained about them and gave the cops a quick history lesson and they were even more interested but from a historical point of view this time. As I seem to be finding these days, they looked to me like they should have been in school. I'm probably a historical artifact myself!
