Easter Monday by the seaside

This blip should be viewed while listening to Charles Trenet's French classic song La Mer... This weekend has had the most glorious weather for years, maybe a good reason to fix the date of the Easter bank holidays, if maybe not actual Easter which has religious reasons for the date. But Scarborough has been full of people out enjoying the warm sunshine after that most gruesome of winters.

Personally, I like to go for a walk before the crowds arrive, but today I also went to see the superb photo exhibition by Simon Annand, The Half, at Scarborough Art Gallery. Highly recommended if you can get to Scarborough...and the fish and chips are great too.
