Gold!!!!!!!!

Gilding the......plank - or should it be Planck as I am trying to make an Icon with Einstein as the subject.
I was a bit behind at the class last week due to missing the week before, so have been preparing at home with giving the gessoed wood a ground coat of dark blue, folowed by fixative on the areas I want gilded.
Tomorrow when the fixative is dry I can rub off the excess gilding and start painting Albert's image. Then its just add a gnomon, a few Roman numerals and voila - The Ironic Icon, Einstein at the Centre of Time.
I doubt the finished article will make it to Blip........
