Doors

Had to pop up town at lunchtime (I love being so close to the City centre) and took a back route through the New Town. I love the New Town doors. Big, heavy, beautiful, painted, coloured doors. Every one slightly different in colour or style or fittings. They really are quite fascinating.

I particularly liked these ones for their cream painted stone surrounds and their rather unusual colours (red & green or olive & salmon depending on your point of view!).

p.s. after moaning about the weather for most of Feb it was actually a nice day too - sunny, crisp and blue.
