red velvet

This is the inside of our tiny, old gas oven. Baking away are Brian's precious red velvet birthday cupcakes (they only take up half the batter, so I made a little square cake too).

We've had a lot of fun today. Blueberry birthday pancakes for breakfast, a trip to the zoo (yes, again! we are members so its free and we love going for a walk about and seeing all the animals), lazy afternoon, and then cake/cupcake baking.

Rain has been threatening for the last few days; nothing but thunder & lightning. Either rain or move on!

I can't believe how quickly the weekend as come and gone. Happy Easter to all.
