Edible crabs and surprises!
The Easter weekend got started properly today. I drove down to meet B, we loaded up the dive kit and stopped for a cuppa before heading off to Eyemouth.
The tea was accompanied by several very early, and very exciting, birthday presents (my birthday is in September!) - which got my Easter off to a great start! More of this in the near future.
When we reached Eyemouth we couldn't get anywhere near the harbour, or the diveboat. The whole area was cordoned off as the Fire Brigade tackled an acetylene fire - it took 24 hours to get the cylinder to an acceptable temperature, the van it had been in was a bit crispy round the edges, but fortunately no-one was hurt.
Nevertheless we managed to get aboard the diveboat from another part of the harbour and headed out for a dive on the Glanmire. The visibility was much improved on our last dive there and we rescued an edible crab which was tied up in twine.
The second dive was a guddle around the wreck of a peanut boat at Pettico Wick, where we found this chap.
