Cold Turkey

We had Christmas in our own house for the first time this year. Having a new baby was a good reason not to go to anyone else's house for Christmas dinner, so we invited my Dad and my in-laws round to ours. We ordered a turkey from a well respected farmer and made sure the one we ordered would be enough for five adults and two boxer dogs (our dogs always get a proper Christmas dinner) with some for leftovers. When we opened our delivery the turkey looked a bit on the small side. These old plastic baking scales may look a bit daft with a full turkey balanced on top of them, but they did the job.

Oh, and the turkey was too bloody small!
