Easter sunset
Sandside, Cumbria
This was taken as we returned home after ferrying the two nephew fellas back to Yorkshire. We arrived in BW in time for a delicious barbecue served up by Katya and Eduardo, then after a brief bit of cricket in the paddock, we turned round for home.
The bigger fella was returned to his mother in a slightly damaged condition after the minor mishap on the bikes yesterday, though it has to be said, he was in a less crocked up state than the photographer fella. But everyone enjoyed the weekend, the weather was kind, the activities were varied, the laughs were frequent, the littlest fella saw 12 types of sheep, 8 types of cattle and two species of deer including two fine fallow bucks. And it was the littlest fella's birthday today, happily coinciding with the dishing out of Easter eggs.
I didn't take a lot of photos today until we got back to Sandside, but couldn't resist watching the sun go down with the two lesser black-backed gulls at the water's edge. It was this or a ladybird (I've seen a lot better) or a collared dove sat tight on its nest in a pear tree as the barbecue was going on below. This is Wifie's choice.
