A great knees up

Happy Easter to you all

Started the day at mass with some lovely hymns . Oh sorry , we started the day by forgoing any decent breakfast and vitamins and instead renewing our relationship with Mr Cadbury and enjoying a chocolatey meal. So after all that chocolate , we then did mass and then went off to meet friends at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

I last went in January which was a stunning day then but today with 20 degrees it was just perfect . It was simply a beautiful sunny smiley day . We all lay on picnic blankets just chatting and lazing whilst the kids played . Our own mini party in the park .

After a few hours of being horizontal we decided we should actually visit the sculptures . This was one at the top of the hill near the car park. It took a long time and a lot of patience ( not something I am known for ) for me to get this without any people also standing there admiring it.

So here we are, one of a series from a temporary exhibition an artist called Jaume Plensa. I love this and I can't believe how well the colours have worked , this is with no editing .

We eventually left about 10 mins before closing time. It's such a vast and sprawling park, that we wondered how they managed to ensure all visitors leave at 6pm. Our suggestions were that they unleash a panther or a large pack of wolves !!! We didn't stay around to find out !

A gorgeous day of relaxing with friends. Have I mentioned that I love this time off work !
