watch out beetles about...

I feel this may be an anticlimax after yesterdays Hare picture.. thanks to everyone who commented, rated and favourited it, as it reached the spotlight page and I'm sooo glad everyone liked it...

Today's is an odd one, this big old beetle was strutting around Gullane beach, I have no idea why it was there... it was nearly two cm long and a green-ish colour more suited to woodland than surfing... I'm going to show the pics to our entomologist when I return to work, but if anyone has any ideas what it is and why it was there then do let me know...

I liked this particular shot as I thought he was pulling a bit of a narcissus moment, looking at his reflection...
