Pottery
I'm not interested in collecting pottery. It's a strange kind of hobby, it relies on the delicacy of the objects leading to many breakage's arriving at rarity value? This ain't a pretty pirate by any means, but he's got a good yarn to tell.
He was brought back from NZ by my mate, who knows I like things nautical. Mr Pirate was made by Shorter & Son some time in the fifties. The son married Clarice Clift, A famous pottery designer. I'm thinking he must have set sail with a 'ten pound pommie' in the fifties through the Med and Indian ocean. 60 years later he was flown back via LA. This pirate has truly circumnavigated the globe!
