Communication

I often reflect on the fact that the advances in technology and development of different forms of communication, many have forgotten that old fashioned technique of talking directly.

At work, people struggle with the need to transfer information from one place to another in fast time and I often pipe up with my old fashioned solution and lo and behold even the declared 'technophobes' have to agree that conversation is often forgotten as a means of communication.

Don't get me wrong, I think there is a place for e-mail, instant messaging, texting and social networking sites but sometimes (as BT used to say in their adverts) it's good to talk!
