Easter Sunday

Today the pic is from St Michael?s Church in Ekwendeni, where we attended mass with Fr John Ryan.
The colour and singing were great and we were introduced to the community at the end, having got a very official welcome.
We left Alifa to the very salubrious surroundings of the CCAP Hospital, much of which was funded from Scotland and Norway. The training hospital has many spaces now that Norway and GB has frozen funding and nurses have to pay full fees on about 1800 Euro per year. Based on the minimum wage in Irealnd and Malawi it compares to about 100,000 euros for an Irish student. (300,000 for 3 years)
It may be her full salary for the first five or six years of nursing!!
No matter how one calculates it, it is an impossible figure.
Anyway she is a very happy girl that God sent us!!
