Simnel cake (med style)

Pretty much a perfect Easter day here, with blue skies and the last of the blossom in the garden.

We called in on Mike and Jenny and the cat Jasper for morning coffee and to collect a large chunk of this fabulous Easter cake (with Mallorquin crystallised fruits), whilst sitting in the gorgeous garden they have created. Thanks both for everything xxxx

AKHF had prepared delicious roast lamb followed by lemon pudding and we managed a little rest in the sunshine (when not being given an intriguing quiz by little Agu or avoiding the petanca balls.

A day only slightly marred by some evidence of winter mouse activity in a linen draw (distructive little b's).
