Parrot tulip
Another busy day in the garden. Old shed emptied and demolished, fence panel replaced, barrier constructed out of recycled shed bits (to stop soil and debris falling down hill on to side of new shed), new shed erected and then filled with slightly less stuff than came out of old shed. The new shed is made of resin and went together like a playmobil kit...much easier than a wooden one and hopefully should resist the weather and vegetation a bit better. It certainly went up much quicker than a wooden one! I did take a picture but it looked just like a catalogue photo---not very exciting.
So pleased we've managed to finish this project and still have a day off work left. There's lots of old fence panel, soil and chopped down vegetation to get rid off but we might dispose of that gradually (and we still have another 4 day weekend to look forward to).
I took a few other photos in the garden today. Some deep purple parrot tulips are out. I love the feather edges to the petals and the much more wanton shape of the flower rather than the straight-laced ordinary tulips.
Now showered, changed and have a glass of wine in hand. Great end to a busy day.
