Insanity comes in many forms...

So, as promised, here's a shot from atop the world famous Transporter Bridge.

We arrived just before lunch to find that a sponsored bungee jump was operating today. Our guide, a great bloke who has worked on the bridge for years, happily took us up to see what was what.

The climb is steep, but has many stages where a rest can be had. Although it's fair to say that a head for heights is required, it's also worth remembering that this high footway was the daily commute for many men going to/fro the shipyards, and most of them would have been carrying a bike!

This is one of the certifiable lunatics adventurous young men who have a death wish desire to raise money for charity.

Fair to say that I wasn't tempted.

This was a real high point (pun intended) of my short break, and probably the best £4 I've spent in years.

Oh, I won £90 on my football coupon as well - what a weekend.
