National Art Center Tokyo

I went to an exhibition on Surrealism at the National Art Center in Tokyo today. The exhibition was huge with over 200 pieces of art and historical documents. The only snag for me was that because all the works of art had come from the Pompidou Centre, everything was in either French or Japanese. Trying to cobble together enough French and Japanese to understand the explanations of the principles of Surrealism was no easy task, I can tell you!

It was a great day though, and it was the first time for me to go to the museum, which is housed inside a pretty crazy building (Google images link). The photo above was taken inside, looking out.
