High water
This is the Weber River. (Around here, its pronounced wee-ber.) This is the highest I've ever seen it. Usually, the trees on the banks are several feet above the water. Here, the trunks are several feet in the water. It's high, it's fast, and it's cold. This is just the beginning of the spring run off. With all the snow and rain we've had this winter and spring, our water situation is about 160% of normal. They say it needs to warm up now and dry out to melt some of the lower snow pack, then cool down in May and June to slow down the upper snow pack. But, it appears that is not going to happen. So, the powers that be are preparing for the inevitable flooding.
