Working for the Earth

A glorious day in Seattle! Lots of volunteer work parties to celebrate Earth Day (which was yesterday...) H and I had tickets for the live HD performance of the Met Opera, Strauss' Capriccio downtown which we enjoyed very much. Had a fine walk home from there, stopped for lunch, very civilized and adult. :-) Snapped this of volunteers beautifying the shores of Lake Union - this is near the drydock area, which services NOAA vessels, ferries, tugs, etc. There is now a city trail around the lake (about 6 miles) dotted with many small pocket parks which makes for a fine city walk.
My calendar says it's International Book and Copyright Day also, but I needed an outdoor Earth photo!
