Hanging in there.

This tree amazes me. When I first moved here, to the KY/TN border, it was huge.
Lightening struck it, split it down the middle soon after. The next summer it was hit again and lost about a quarter of its bulk. In our most recent wind and rain storm, the top, as you can see, snapped off. Still it is green and I have a sense it will be here long after I am gone.
