day out

We have had a very long day today, but its been great fun.

Amelie woke at 6 but she had slept all night in her cot (again!) so I wasn't too bothered. We were planning on getting up early anyway to head down to Brighton and we knew it would be busy.

So we spent the day in Brighton with Granny and Papa who are staying with us just now (they arrived on Thursday but due to not feeling great I haven't blipped the past few days!). Amelie was a little bit grumpy as she slept on the way down but not long enough to constitute her proper nap and so by half 2 she was ready for a sleep but insisted on walking. Eventually she crashed out in the buggy but it was bad timing as she missed the ice cream! We wandered back to the car then and she slept most of the way back too so isn't long in bed (its 9.20) as she was just wide awake and ready to play.

She is still coughing, a different cough now which is more of a bark and quite worrying as she is a little wheezy as well. So despite the other doctor we saw last week saying she was completely fine after her antibiotics had ended I think we are going to head back to the doctor next week to see the good doctor who suggested an inhaler might be useful. She has conjunctivitis as well in both eyes so thats great fun for Mummy trying to put the drops in and keep her eyes clear whilst trying not to catch it myself (I wear contacts to add to the problem). To top it all off I'm on antibiotics too and they have made me feel worse rather than better so we are in some state in this household!

Despite this a good day was had by all.
