Rita's Reflections

Acer Palmatum Dissectum

Thought I'd snap one of my all time favourite plant species as I haven't ventured far today, with the exception of B&Q to buy more security lights, after noticing a cracked window. It's possible the crack may have been caused by recent work that our neighbours did, but we thought we'd better not take any chances.

Following on from yesterday my dog went back to the vets today and it was verified he had a urine infection. He's also now wearing an even bigger elizabethan collar, as he managed to still just about lick his stitches. We have to remember to walk past him giving him a wide berth. It also hurts when he whacks the edge of it into your arm!

It's been another scorching day although this evening it looks like it might storm. Now that'll be interesting, having a dog with a huge cone on his head experiencing a storm for the first time. I might need to wear padded clothes later!

This plant is situated outside on my drive so I put a black cloth down to accentuate the lovely serrated leaves. I think this particular branch and the way I cropped the picture looks like a mini tree in itself.
