Lowther Castle

Lowther Castle, near Penrith, has been closed to the public for the last 70 years. It reopened again yesterday... There is much to be done to get the gardens looking good once again.

We walked around the grounds for well over an hour. The catering was good! Pumpkin and goat's cheese pie, followed by tea and chocolate brownie!

If you google 'Lowther', you'll find he made his money from The Slave Trade!
