Silk purse or sow's ear

I'm off sick and went for a short walk at lunch time. The ligth was bad, I felt sick and my camera ran out to batteries. I got home with a collection of bad photos and don't feel like going out again. Grump, grump, grump.

I was trying to get something that showed the green-mossiness of the woods, and have learned a couple of things in the process.

Edit - Smoothed out some ugly processing arefacts but the subject is the same. I'm feeling a lot better, thanks for your kind wishes.
