My Father (My Pride, My Identity)

Parents bring us from heavens onto the earth and teachers elevate us from earth to heavens. But I think, parents perform the double duty of being first teachers of the children as well as nurturing them in the best possible manner.

Kids are looked after & pampered most of time by a mother in a family unit but a father also loves very much his offspring, though, he does not show his affection because of his nature and his role as breadwinner.
Education, no doubt, grooms a man and makes one's sailing smooth but inculcation of values, habits, do's and don'ts come from a father who trains and tells us that how we should be living in a society and community/fraternity of varying dispositions & interests.
A father tells us difference between a friend and foe. He is the first person who engraves on our mind difference between virtue and vice. He envisages the future of his children and leaves no stone unturned to provide his dependents best education and health facilities.
Interestingly, parents build homes for themselves but as the children grow home proprietorship changes and parents happily do one or the other task for their children.
We do not choose our parents and we love them regardless of their education, social stature and earning power. My father can hardly write his name but he has written many a beautiful lessons of life on the canvas of my mind with indelible ink. My father has been a driver but he has taught me how to drive out in tough times. My father has been a steel fixer but he has taught me how to fix a problem when it arises. My father has been a baker but he has taught me how to bake oneself and make oneself hard enough to stand the heat of changing times.
My father is traditional man and a symbol of folk wisdom (which the books can not teach us). After my mother's departure, his presence in the house serves as a society, a society which is telling the truth of the times gone by. My father is really my pride and my identity.
Postscript:
(My father often says in his loving style that we are your servants and we are still duty bound to fetch you comfort. Hats off to the loving parents for the kind & warm feelings parents have for their children. On the planet of earth, there is no such relation as the parents)
