Dad's Suitcase

This heavy leather case has intrigued me since I was very small. I'm not sure why. I still like it but really it's heavy and it's just taking up space that I could use. So it's going on a trip to the thrift store.

In 1950 it would have gone on Mom and Dad's honeymoon to Texas. Dad is alive and well though Mom died four years ago. I took some photos this morning to have as a more compact way of remembering an object that's inexplicably significant to me.
