must try harder

Wasted day.

The sun was glorious today and the only part of my day that was not a waste.

A trip to the Post Office...oblivious to the nuances of being Good Friday...a day off for them!

The trip necessary as a part that arrived for my photographic equipment was not compatible with my Canon as advertised...a waste of money!

Some technical web and networking issues then wasted much of the rest of my day as I spent most of it onto technical support!

The high street had Union Jacks out though. Every 50 feet or so I would say! Are people really that interested?

Still, as I say, I enjoyed the warmth of the late evening sun sitting in the garden with a cup of tea, catching up on some photographic articles that hadn't really sunk in the first time around. they didn't this time either, so that was a waste too. I'd walked the dog across into the nearby wasteland (no pun intended) and Dylan managed to find his way onto the golf course. Luckily he didn't pick up any of the players golf balls, but his enthusiasm was definitely wasted on one of them, for sure.

My early evening serenity was interrupted by the boys returning from their grandmother's house where they'd been doing a bit of gardening and hedge trimming for her, so any further reading I had planned was curtailed.

As the evening drew in, exhausted by his adventures across the links (well, parkland really), Dylan collapsed exhausted by his day. I couldn't help looking at him as he puffed through his nostrils and settled to the task in hand...some shut eye!

So the shot of the Union Jacks all in a row was sacrificed for something closer to my heart. Shame it'll go to waste....maybe another day.

Best Large - some nice coat detailing!
