Mmm anyone would think...
There may be a wedding happening in London next week ;-)
We were playing tourist today and we had a plan... Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden and Yo Sushi!
After a slow start that saw R getting 4 hours more sleep than he has been getting recently (he's out the house at 4.30am at the moment, not fun) we were up, sorted and out of the hotel just after 10am.
First stop was Buckingham Palace, I'd wanted to try and get a photo of the mall with all the Union Jacks but they are not all up yet... looks as thought that will be a last minute job. It was all happening there though with changing of the guard and one of the military bands playing. Crowds around the palace were 20 people deep. Bit too busy for us.
All the preparations for next week are in full flow though... this photo is of the press studios that are up and ready just opposite the palace in a perfect position to capture that first kiss of the happy royal couple on the balcony!
I can safely say if your into the wedding and want the perfect viewing spot... stay at home and watch it on your TV!
After this we went over to Covent Garden to look in the Outdoor Shop and Oakley store. I managed to replace my shorts that I split in style the other week... oh I am so looking forward to work on Tuesday... i'm just hoping they have forgotten but I bet they haven't, ah well at least there weren't any kids around.
Then we went for the new experience that was Yo Sushi... never been before so we thought we would do something different. We both really enjoyed it and would probably do it again.
Sadly then it was time to make our way back to where R's car was parked in Paddington to make our way home.
Fantastic time had and we finished it off by stopping on the way home for an icecream.
The most bizarre fact of the day though... diesel is cheaper by 4p a litre in London than it is in Daventry! It doesn't make any sense at all! Time to move ;-)
R is now snoozing for England in his chair... just hope he realises in morning he's got 3 more days off work, bless him he needs them :-)
