Drove to Abbey St Bathans sawmill today and filled ( well. overfilled ) the car with timber to build fences around our back garden.
There are VERY steep hills on the Duns road from Gifford, and I had a few scary moments when the front (steering and driving) wheels were obviously not much in contact with the road. Then when the back wheels hit one of the many pot holes - BANG!.
I thought I had bust a spring or two, but the car seems to be ok now that I emptied it of the 100 6' boards and 20 fence posts.
It coped much better earlier in the day with the 10 bags of concrete!
Other purchase today - A CHAINSAW ! Woohoo! No stopping me now!
