Clouds Roll In
The clouds, lingering over the Italian border these last few days, overcame their shyness and ventured across the Espace Killy where they are forecast to remain for the next week. They may bring some snow, or rain, or neither, but it looks like we've seen the last of the sun for this season.
Today I watched as a group of nine skied the Pisteur's Couloir, which is the steep narrow band of snow in the middle of picture, descending from the top of the Charvet to the Grand Pre piste. Considering the flat light they did pretty well in the couloir, but then all nine came flying down the open face together, a couple of them almost colliding. Now why would you want to do that?
