Shed blip 2
Thorny Lane, Bishop Wilton, Yorkshire
This blip is for the afficionados of rusting metal and weathered wood, complete with bits of baler twine.
This is the second in a very occasional series of shed photos from Bishop Wilton. We arrived in the village late last night. I went for a quick walk before breakfast, and found this old shed in a field next to the Lane. I think it was once used for a horse shelter, now the door is wide open and inside there's a barn owl box that doesn't appear to be occupied. An odd feature of this shed is that some of the wood slats have been replaced with strips of iron (now well rusted).
Later in the morning we picked up the nephews and headed back to Arnside. So begins a riotous few days.......
ps Two new bird species for the year: linnet (don't know how that's eluded me till now) and whitethroat (total now 120).
