Hot in the City

Another day spent shopping with my daughter, this time, in Manchester.

The shops were bursting with people, but we stepped out through the side door of Boots' store, to find this quieter area.

On the left of the shot is the Royal Exchange building, which houses a theatre, and on the right side is the Arndale Shopping Centre.

It was my husband's last day in work today, as he's been made redundant. He has worked so hard to find a new job since finding out he has to leave, and with any luck, next week he should receive written confirmation following a verbal offer of a new job. Hopefully, he should only be unemployed for a few weeks.
