Get Back to Me

Walking on ...

Sunshine or water? You decide.

Westward Ho! is famous for 2 things. Golf and as the only place name in the UK with an exclamation mark!!

Spoilt for blips today after a photo extravaganza at Clovelly, Westward Ho! and Appledore. I narrowed it down to 25 to choose from.
Other contenders included a slow worm and sparrows at Clovelly, some wonderful street art, the Bottile Bank for glass bottlles and jars and a sign for lost fishing rods at Appledore (which incidentally is a blippers paradise)

Eventually I settled on this image of Westward Ho! beach, taken just before I went for a swim, as it summed up the beautiful weather I have experienced on my 3 day holiday to Somerset and North Devon to visit my younger son for his birthday, yesterday.

The Royal North Devon Golf Club Westward Ho! is the oldest golf club in England having been founded in 1864, and was home to JH Taylor who won the British Open 5 times.
It is a flat, links course which remains pretty much as when it was first laid out.
There are additional hazards of sheep and ponies grazing the fairways and greens, both of which were in evidence today.
