Rodents rule

Grassy lunch

The guinea pig trio are very happy with the warm weather. The new grass is growing well and they're allowed small cutting from it until the patches are strong enough to withstand a substantial grazing by rodent gnashers.

Omar was on turbo today, crashing around the flower beds and up and down the path. I caught her trying to ram her way into nextdoor's garden, but pulled her out of the fence (where she'd created a bit of hole), fixed the fence and put an end to her escape plans. She's now safely asleep behind the gnome.

I had a very local shop and had great chats with the fishmonger (who loaned me his recipe book for ideas on how to cook sea bass), the man who owns the deli (he has some amazing mozzarella in stock at the moment - just scoffed some for dinner), the pet shop lady (who I always have a giggle with) and my neighbour who was walking the pram around the block to get some peace and quiet from a cranky baby. So, my trip to the shops took a little longer than planned, but I felt good about my wee London neighbourhood. There are some lovely folk here.
