Golden Finches

A cloud of these little yellow guys settled down around my feeders this morning.

They were all fluttering about, competing for the best seat. The females were fending off the amorous males, sometimes in mid-air.

Really, what do you guys think? Sometimes a girl just needs a quiet moment to eat breakfast in peace!
