Redwinged Blackbird

Sunshine + a day off = FABULOUS!

I went to see my dad today and after cutting his hair we headed to the Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge and spent two hours looking at birds of many varieties. We saw a dozen different song birds that we could identify, several different shorebirds, ducks, a family of geese (5 babies!), a red-breasted sapsucker, a yellow-headed blackbird and numerous red-winged blackbirds including this guy.

We had a lovely lunch at Tommy O's and then it was home to my deck chair and a good book.
