Sunny day in Westminster

80th Blip

Looking for a pub lunch after a lunchtime concert, I spotted the sun sparkling off the gilt on the top of the Palace of Westminster as it peeped over the buildings. The concert was Handel's Messiah in St Stephen with St John in Rochester Row. A Civil Service choir called ETCETERA as the three departments represented begin with E, T and C. They have only been going for 18 months and have some excellent singers. I would rather they'd had more time for rehearsal but it was enjoyable. The pub was called the Green Coat Boy and did excellent food at tables outside as well as in, so we sat outside and watched a building site at work!
