Shobdon Arches
Many of my regulars will know I'm learning to fly. After a bit of a refresher this afternoon, I went round the corner to Shobdon church. I timed my visit badly - it closed three weeks ago for the rest of the year for refurbishment. However, just up the hill is the original front of the church, which in 1756 was moved as the parish wanted to preserve its elaborate decorations. It's quite an odd sight to see an arch and two doorways on the edge of a woodland.
