this is Leah. this photo has had absolutely no manipulation (like I could afford Photoshop anyways...) and she was not asked to close her eyes/pose. it is simply one of those classic zoom-in-quickly-while-simultaneously-capturing-with-low-shutter-speed shots. and i am very, very pleased with the results because the angelic effect reiterates Leah's peerless nature. but here we were, sitting across from each other in the sunny library this afternoon, studying away with our respective disciplines.

I have included the EXIF data on this shot (this will not become habit for it is blatantly superfluous) merely to illustrate something new: the Nikon D40. This was a gift for my birthday (which is on the 24th) from my beautiful girlfriend Leah. It was totally unexpected. Came with two lenses and various other accessories; she got it off of eBay, hopefully without spending too much. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and compassionate she is, and certainly this medium here cannot appropriately articulate it either. At least through words.

So, I finally joined the ranks of most of you fine Blipfolk and hopped aboard the digital SLR bandwagon. I have taken so many shots that I would like to share with you all, too, so it is probably high time to get a new Flickr account or a Blipfolio or whatever.

But, for now, here is the alternate Leah portrait from today.
