Dow can taken any number of things, the American stock market. A different spelling but sounds the same is a middle eastern boat.
However on this occasion it represent a deer that thinks its a cow.
This deer turned up on the farm last year and there after has been following the herd around. During the winter it would curl up outside the barn and eat with the cows. Now that the calves have been born and they have all been turned out, the deer is now free to roam with them again.
The shooting syndicate have been warned by the farmer not to shoot it under the threat of losing their shooting rights if its not adhered to.
Good on him I say.
