Practice run

This is the awesomely named Lennox Cato, Antiques Roadshow expert (as they call them), presumably practising for tomorrow's show in our Great Hall at work. Unless he's just got the wrong day.

Unbelievable amount of stuff to make this programme. Really brings home just how much programmes like this cost to make. So many people, so much equipment, so much catering, never mind a constant supply of babywipes to cleanse the brows of so many antiques experts. And that's not even looking at the costs for the University; additional security, extra cleaners and so on.

Last time the Beeb was here (for the Leaders' Debate - how long ago does that seem now!) one of their guys left a massive deep scratch in the beautiful parquet flooring outside my office. They'd better be more careful this time - the floor is antique after all!
