Cemetery Cinders

Strange things happen in cemeteries. I came across the cinders of a large campfire in the middle of the graves and tried to identify some of the items within the ashes. These look to me to be the toe-caps from a pair of safety boots. I hope there is a fairly benign reason for them to be there.
